We are seeking two (2) Business Analysts to provide comprehensive business analysis support services for the planning, execution, monitoring, reporting and assessing of various Federal projects. Support to the project management team will also include ensuring project plans follow forecasts/trends and support evidenced based program performance.
Tasks:
(1) Support the project management team in responding to inquiries from stakeholders.
(2) Review business processes and provide recommendations for the identified process improvement and provided detailed project plans for the customer to implement changes so the office can better achieve goals.
(3) Tracks fund execution, including commitments, obligations, unobligated balances, and expenditures for programs and provide reports as necessary.
(4) Analyze project data to better forecast and analyze trends, reporting regulations and business conditions to support funding decisions and allocation of budgets and program requirements.
(5) Provide process insights and recommendations to optimize project resource allocation.
(6) Identify potential schedule delays and recommend corrective actions to ensure timely obligation and drawdown of project allocations.
(7) Collaborate with project managers to forecast project financial outcomes based on current performance as well as current and new project timelines to assess and implement performance measures for successful evaluation of projects.
(8) Monitor project health and flag any risks or discrepancies to relevant stakeholders.
(9) Assist and develop reports for submission to stakeholders and studies and needs assessments for the organization.
(10) Support internal and external audits by providing data and documentation as needed and conduct assessments to determine vulnerabilities within the organization.
(11) Participate in project review meetings to discuss performance and strategies for improvement.
(12) Develop tracking and reporting mechanisms to facilitate project management and project tracking.
Minimum Qualifications Business Analyst III:
(1) Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret financial data, to interact effectively with others in a broad range of functional and technical backgrounds, and to handle pressures in a deadline-driven environment.
(2) Demonstrated ability to use a high degree of professional judgment and ingenuity in interpreting guidelines for application in day-to-day issues and analyses. Ability to perform problem solving of a precedent-setting nature.
(3) Be proficient in using financial systems and software applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint) for presentation of analysis and preparation of supporting documentation.
(4) Contractor personnel must have the appropriate security clearance/background check at the time of contract start date.
Place of Performance:
The primary place of performance for this task order is remote. Except for site visits (if travel is necessary), the majority of the work may be performed virtually.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience and at least 6 years of experience
