Contracts Manager

We are seeking a highly-motivated, experienced, and detail-oriented Contracts Manager to support of serving the national security sector of the US federal government.  You will work directly with the Chief Financial Officer in the management of day-to-day contracts administration to include the development, implementation, and management of the overall contract program for the organization. 
 
You will be responsible for the effective implementation of contract responsibilities within program objectives and requirements and will include management and administration of company contracts in addition to proposal preparation and contract negotiation.

You will continually drive process improvements and create standards in order to ensure program efficiency and accuracy. 

Scope of Responsibilities

  • Oversee full life-cycle management of government and commercial contract development, administration and compliance
  • Provide strategic guidance for proposals, including team coordination, reviewing performance requirements, ensuring legal requirements, customer specifications and contractual terms are met
  • Assist CFO and Sales leadership in tracking changes and other provisions of all sales contracts
  • Work closely with Government contract offices, Prime Contractors and Subcontractors to ensure contract modifications and timely funding is in place by coordinating with Finance and Mission Managers
  • Work closely with Sales and Analysis to streamline processes and development contract requirements consistent with program objectives
  • Review Non-Disclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, Subcontractor Agreements, Prime Contractor Agreements, and Reseller Agreements and suggest changes based on business priorities
  • Deliver insightful knowledge on contract requirements, including providing oversight and reporting on contract performance for compliance with contractual obligations and recommendations on contractual issues
  • Review price and cost analysis, when necessary
  • Serve as the primary contact for contract management related inquiries, risks, issues and effectively communicate for prompt resolution

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
 
Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree desired, in lieu of degree a combination of education and additional 10+ years of direct contract management experience considered
  • Strong working knowledge of contract administration principles and of U.S. Government procurement regulations (FAR/DFAR/Agency Regs)
  • Exposure to intellectual property, specifically with software development and data licensing in a government context. Minimum 5-8 years of experience managing federal contracts; must have software product/data/technology licensing experience
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple complex projects and details simultaneously, while managing deadlines
  • Must have experience running and administering a large DoD IDIQ contract.  Working with task orders and subcontractors.
  • Excellent and effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven history of balancing strategic business goals with contract outcomes
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations
 
Desired Skills
  • Experience in or exposure to the nuances of a startup or other entrepreneurial environments
  • Prior knowledge of working with classified contracts a plus
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM and Google Suite
