Key Role:

Support the environmental compliance technical and program management functions for federal clients by delivering formal training coursework on environmental topics, including Environmental Management Systems (EMS) Awareness, Slug and Spill Prevention and Control Program (SSPCC), Hazardous Waste Management, and Occupant Emergency Plan. Participate in facility inspections and program audits, draft reports, compile data and other documentation to report to management, track the status of findings, and follow-up on corrective actions. Provide administrative and technical support to the Environmental Management System (EMS) program, including preparing management plans, updating and delivering awareness training, compiling program metrics, coordinating onsite events, and submitting annual reports. 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience with environmental compliance in large facilities
  • Experience with working on construction or facility maintenance projects to ensure environmental compliance and sustainability
  • Experience with state and federal environmental regulations, including EPA (RCRA, CWA), DOT, and consensus standards published by ACGIH, NIOSH, ASHRAE, or NFPA
  • Experience with creating and delivering verbal and written communication products for clients, including presentations and whitepapers
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
  • Experience with Stormwater management focused on Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans or Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs)
  • Knowledge of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) project review process
  • Knowledge of the ISO 14001 standard
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including using various communication methods, such as e-mail, presentations, and in-person interviews
  • OSHA 40 Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) Certification
  • Completion of Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Hazardous Waste Generator Training
Clearance: Ability to Obtain a Public Trust
US Citizenship or Authorization to work in US required
Travel: < 10% (CONUS)
