PeopleSoft Systems Administrator Washington, DC
We are hiring a PeopleSoft Systems Administrator in Washington, DC.
Job Description – The PeopleSoft Systems Administrator role is responsible for supporting the PeopleSoft Financials & Supply Chain Management (FSCM) business application. Assignments could be related to either or both environments.
- Implement and maintain operational readiness & stability of PeopleSoft environments, maintaining web, application, and database tiers
- Perform installs, updates (PUM images), patches, maintenance, support, troubleshooting and issues resolution for PeopleSoft environments
- Plan and manage the implementation of application updates, tax updates, tools patches on development, test, quality assurance and production systems
- Lead efforts for capacity planning, performance monitoring and tuning of systems
- Administer scheduling system jobs/updates/changes
- Proactively monitor and manage batch processes
- Performs migrations through the PeopleSoft environments
- Ensure incident, problem and change management policies and procedures are practiced
- Coordinate with business and technical stakeholders to prioritize and schedule work and system updates
- Monitor system performance, optimize resource utilization, troubleshoot problems, manage and maintain reliable backup and recovery strategy
- Work with developer and Finance functional teams to troubleshoot issues with both delivered and custom developed PeopleSoft functionality
- Work with developer and Finance functional teams to update and maintain PeopleSoft security
- Work with developer, database and platform technology teams to resolve performance related issues
- Participate in an on-call rotation to support the PeopleSoft applications outside of normal business hours
Desired areas of experience include: Preferred candidates will have experience with one or more of the following PeopleSoft applications/modules, versions and development tools:
- PeopleTools 8.5 or higher
- Install, upgrade and apply patches
- Maintain and support server installations, configuration and performance
- Integration Broker Messages, Service Operations and related
- PeopleCode/Component Interface Handlers
- Troubleshooting Process Scheduler issues, including processes, jobs, and scheduling
- PeopleSoft 9.2 or higher
- Coordinate and apply PUM images, including customizations
- Coordinate and apply 1099 Tax Updates
- Install and maintain PeopleSoft PUM servers
- Support of PeopleSoft FSCM
- Integration between PeopleSoft FSCM and Hyperion Financials
- Solid understanding with integration technologies (e.g., IPaaS,
- Supporting PeopleSoft in a Oracle database environment
- PeopleSoft implementations, upgrades and troubleshooting
- Solid understanding of PeopleSoft Web Server, App Server and Database interactivities
- Solid understanding of PeopleSoft infrastructure and architecture
- Install, administer, troubleshoot Tuxedo, Web logic, PeopleSoft -Application & Process Scheduler on Windows servers
- Configuration of PeopleSoft Permission Lists and Roles
- Project and operations support experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Troubleshooting and problem solving in PeopleSoft production environment
Demonstrated excellence in competencies including teamwork, collaboration, analytical thinking, communication, and technical expertise
