SCCM Engineer

Centurion is looking to hire an SCCM Engineer in Germantown, MD.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain all Windows 10 and Windows 11 workstations and laptops images via Microsoft SCCM / Intune and document configuration and deployment checklists.
• Manage, support and maintain all workstations and laptops custom applications via Microsoft SCCM and Intune.
• Implement, manage and maintain Active Directory Group Policies across the Enterprise
• Ensure desktop complies with security policies, by deploying and maintaining Desktop security applications and resolve issues related to workstations and laptops including security issues i.e., virus, spam etc.
• Perform desktop OS upgrades and troubleshoot issues related to these activities.
• Manage biTlocker Full disk encryption for laptops and tablets.
• Diagnose hardware, software, and operator problems and take remedial actions or recommend procedural changes.
• Research and resolve the most difficult and complex problems that first and second tier levels have been unable to resolve.
• Update Active Directory for computer accounts, user accounts, distribution lists and security groups.
• Maintain accurate and timely inventory of all hardware within the defined inventory system
• Recommend new desktop standard and configuration to keep current with Microsoft standards.
• Provide technical recommendations and guidance to customers and junior desktop engineers.
• Deploy Microsoft Security Updates Enterprise wide and supervise the installation of fixes, enhancements, and upgrades to supported systems via scripting or Microsoft SCCM and/or Intune.
• Test and schedule third party patches and updates for all client machines (Microsoft, Adobe, Antivirus, and VPN etc.).
• Package software and design distribution methods for the installation and procedures of all desktop operating systems and approved software.
• Implement advanced PowerShell scripting for automation.
• Develop documents, communicate, and enforce policies for standardizing systems and software including Workstation, laptops, cell phones, and tablets.
• Document regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical procedures as necessary.
• Develop and maintain training materials.
• Create Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documentation.
• Administer all desktop and network printers and print servers.

 Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems combination education and experience.
• MCSA required.
• 10+ years supporting MS Windows Operating System.

• Building system images using Microsoft SCCM.
• MS Office 365.
• MS Surface, HP, Dell or IBM workstations & Laptops.

• Must be a U.S. Person (e.g., U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, U.S. National or a protected individual under 8 U.S.C 1324b(a)(3)) as position requires access to U.S. export restricted materials

 SCCM Requirements:

• Current branch Experience.
• Windows 10 servicing Experience.
• Office 365 Client Management Experience.
• Experience in deploying Windows 10.
• Experience in upgrading Windows 10.
• Experience in troubleshooting SCCM task sequences.
• Experience with dynamic application deployment in a task sequence.
• Task sequences.
• Microsoft Deployment Toolkit SCCM extensions.
• Unattended upgrade to next feature release.
• Updates management via SCCM.
• PowerShell and VB Scripting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft End Point Administration.
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administration Associate.
• Microsoft Managing Modern Desktops.
• License or certification: CompTIA.
• Working knowledge of Cloud (Azure) based Microsoft services.
• Experience with Windows Automation.
• Experience with WMI.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, DNS, DHCP, etc.
• Strong knowledge of WAN, LAN, TCP/IP, DNS and related troubleshooting.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
