Senior Big Data Developer Washington, DC
We are looking to hire a Senior Big Data Developer in Washington, DC.
Work Experience:
• 10+ years Big Data development experience and BS/MS degree in STEM-related field
• Strong development experience designing Big Data solutions using Cloudera Hadoop technology stack including HDFS, NiFi, Hive, Spark, Solr, HBase, Python, Java/Scala
• Proficient in using Cloudera Hadoop (CDP) technology stack including Spark, Hive, Impala, HBase, PySpark, NiFi, Solr
• Develop new tools, code, and services to execute data engineering activities using on-premise Cloudera CDP platform
• Develop data ingestion ETL pipelines for extracting and storing structured and unstructured data in big data environments
• Collaborate with the team on new technologies and alternatives to plan and execute complex tasks
• Independently conduct work on the full-life cycle of data engineering to include analysis, solution design, data pipeline engineering, testing, deployment, and production support
Technical Skills:
• Proficient in using Cloudera Hadoop (CDP) technology stack including Spark, Hive, Impala, HBase, PySpark, NiFi, Solr
• Strong development experience with Java, Scala, and Python
• Cloudera Certified Professional certification would be a plus
• Experience with RESTful APIs, DevOps, Linux
