Centurion is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to support our clients cyber environment. The senior cybersecurity engineer is a remote, hands-on, role and is a member of the cybersecurity team responsible for ensuring the clients network is protected from a variety of cyber threats. The senior cybersecurity engineer provides technical expertise and advisement on multiple areas of cybersecurity services to include cloud security, endpoint security, access management, secure framework oversight, vulnerability management, and incident response.
The Senior Systems Security Engineer’s responsibilities include:
- Provide support to planning, designing and implementing security controls which safeguard and monitor events for information systems, enterprise applications and data.
- Serve as the cybersecurity operations subject matter expert.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and investigate security-related, information systems’ anomalies based on security platform reporting, network traffic, log files, host-based and automated security alerts.
- Participates in Security Operations Center (SOC) activities and responds to security incidents.
- Privileged access management
- Data loss prevention.
- Endpoint protection management
- Vulnerability identification and remediation
- Metrics and KPI creation
- Maintain and update relevant system and process documentation.
- Assist the development of security tool requirements, trials, and evaluations.
- Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with all team members.
- Provide off-hours support on an infrequent, but as needed basis.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors in computer science or information systems, Can substitute 8 years of demonstrated results, or equivalent experience.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Current CISSP certification
- Microsoft Azure experience
- Effective time management and communication skills
- Candidates must be able to travel 10% of the time.
Additional desired qualifications and experience
- Privileged access management experience
- Experience with Palo Alto products
- Prior experience supporting U.S. government agencies.
