Centurion is looking to hire a Senior Recruitment/Staffing Specialist for a remote opportunity.
Description:
- Provides recruitment and placement, advisory, and technical services in performing and resolving complex staffing and recruitment actions. Advanced skills and knowledge in Federal Government Human Resources areas such as compliance with staffing related hiring eligibilities, security support, and automated payroll systems is required. Experience in training and auditing is also required.
- Assists with the Hiring/Recruitment Package The Senior Recruitment/Staffing Specialist ensures the request meets organizational needs adhering to position management principles and identifies/considers all hiring flexibilities (including all non- competitive authorities) and pay/compensation/incentives (relocation expenses, relocation/recruitment incentives, etc.) to attract a highly qualified applicant pool.
- Assists Hiring Officials with the creation of job analysis and reviews completed

Confirms Hiring Official submits a Standard Position Description (SPD), and Standardized Hiring/Recruitment Package; at minimum, the package may include:
- Position description(s),
- Job analysis;
- Duties and specialized experience statement; Recruitment Strategy form;
- Relocation Expense Worksheet; and
- Position Management Council (PMC) request number
- If standard hiring/recruitment packages are unavailable, or not applicable, the assists Senior Recruitment/Staffing Specialist the Hiring Official either in developing a Position Description (PD) or verifying the accuracy of the current PD and submits a Help Desk Ticket Classification Request for the National Operations Center (NOC) Branch of Classification.
- Senior Recruitment/Staffing Specialist updates recruitment tracking systems and/or document(s), such as SharePoint, Tracker, and USA Staffing.
- Upon receipt of a classified Position Description (PD), the Senior Recruitment/Staffing Specialist assists the Hiring Official in developing a job analysis.
- The Senior Recruitment/Staffing Specialist reviews hiring package for completeness and supports the Hiring Official to ensure all necessary information is acquired and in the hiring package.
- The Senior Recruitment/Staffing Specialist creates a recruitment action in USA Staffing; establishes a case file; prepares a draft Job Opportunity Announcement (JOA); and uploads case file documents into an automated staffing program.
- Contractor finalizes approved JOA and posts to the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) USAJOBS website.

Senior Recruitment/Staffing Specialist assists in the reviews of applications for eligibility and qualifications:
- “Area of Consideration”

Eligibility requirements are met (Veterans’ preference, citizenship, maximum entry age, and federal hiring authorities under Title 5 etc.)
- Minimum (education, certification) qualification requirements, if applicable
- Selective placement factors, if applicable
- General / Specialized experience requirement and/or education substitution, if applicable
- Rating and ranking
- Clears the Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP), Career Transition Assistance Plan (CTAP) or Reemployment Priority List (RPL)
- Senior Recruitment/Staffing Specialist assists in the issuance of “certificate(s) of eligibles” to the Hiring Official within established timelines and notifies eligible applicants of their status.
- Senior Recruitment/Staffing Specialist may audit certificates, ensuring regulations (such as veterans’ preference rules) were followed and selection is appropriate.
- Senior Recruitment/Staffing Specialist may assist in identification and analysis of conventional staffing problems and assist in an alternative solutions.
- The HR Office notifies the Senior Recruitment/Staffing Specialist of firm offer acceptance. Non-selectees are annotated in the automated staffing system, USA Staffing by the Senior Recruitment/Staffing Specialist.

Senior Recruitment/Staffing Specialist closes out case file by ensuring:
- All case file documents are added to shared staffing directory and or following local State/Center processes (what is shared staffing directory?);
- All appropriate case file documents are uploaded following State/Center processes.;
- All applicants are notified of the status of their applications
- Status of the announcement is updated in USA Staffing
- The Senior Recruitment/Staffing Specialist may be asked to assist in recruitment events and job fairs at a variety of locations, including colleges and universities.
Requirements:
This position requires a bachelor’s degree and 4 years of directly related experience.
